Pragmatic agile development OOP & Design Patterns. I am actually a VB.NET developer (C# in the I will also note that this is a great book for those of you familiar or have read the GoF book Design Patterns Elements of Reusable Object Oriented Software. Troy Goode originally recommended this book to me. I wish that it did not contain all of the cartoons. Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software. Design Patterns : Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software by Erich This is the book known as the Gang of Four book and it is considered required reading if you want to learn about software design principles and patterns. It was subsequently described in depth in the highly influential “Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software” [2], a.k.a. The “Gang of Four” book, in 1994. Agile Principles, Patterns, and Practices in C#. The GOF wrote a widely publicised and well known book "Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software". In the past 6 months, I have been reading and studying the well-known book Design Patterns, Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software by Erich Gamma, Richard Helm, Ralph Johnson, and John Vlissides (GOF). Richard Helm, Erich Gamma, John Vlissides and Ralph Johnson (“Gang of Four”). Several There are only two things that I don't like about it. Here below is what I call "My design patterns table". Gamma is one of the “Gang of Four” who shook up software development back in 1994 with the book Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software. In fact I highly recommend downloading the code samples from the WROX website (WROX Code Download) The entire set of code samples are in C#, but don't let this slow up any VB.NET devs out there. Also, I wish the samples were C#/VB.NET instead of Java. I thought it would be an interesting exercise to try and port each of the patterns described in the Gang of Four's seminal work Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software into C#. Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software was the first published book to identify patterns in object-oriented programmind and has become a classic in the last ten years.
